Welcome to Prairie Pooches Rescue!

Our dream is to help rescue animals in need.  We have discovered that shelters are not always a safe place.  They have to euthanize animals of all ages daily, due to high volumes of homeless pets.  Our goal is to ease shelters that are at max capacity and provide a safe place for animals until we can find them a forever home.  We want people to consider adoption over supporting backyard breeders or puppymills.

Kashtin

 Kashtin is a 2 year old staffordshire terrier cross with shepherd. Kashin is a fixed male and fully up to date on this shots. Kashtin is a very loyal, sweet dog, and is great with people. He Loves his belly rubs and would be a great dog for a family looking for a single dog!

GUSS

Guss is a 4-year-old neutered American Staffordshire Terrier. He likes other dogs big and small. This high energy guy loves to play and can fetch, sit, and shake a paw. He likes kids (even if he accidentally knocks the small ones over) but tried to chase a cat when he met one in an outdoor setting.He is up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

Teddy 

Hi my name is Teddy. I am a 15month old Collie, fixed male with all my up to date shots. I am looking for a home that has a yard for me to run. I love playing with toys and sleeping on my comfy pillow. I am an excellent alarm clock in the morning for wanting to go outside. I may love to run and play outside but i also love to hang inside and cuddle.
Teddy will be a great companion for an active family.

What We Do

We are in the beginning phase of developing our rescue.  Summer 2010 I had an 1150 square foot building created in our yard to be my future rescue. 

This fall we have poured the cement and began to set up the kennels.  Once we have the power all connected then we can begin to take in more animals.  Step by step we will get there!

If you are interested in adopting a pit bull, chihuahua, or any specific breed contact us, so we can watch for one to show up in the LA city shelters. 

We have wonderful volunteers in LA who will help get the dog from the shelter to the airport to fly to us. 

Fundraising

Every little bit extra helps.  These are a few ideas that can make a difference.

- Bottle drive.  If you have recycleable bottles let us know and we will pick them up!
